How to redeem your Publications member benefits:

One-year subscriptions to AAS publications

Your benefits include a one-year subscription to the Journal of Asian Studies (JAS) and monthly newsletters from our blog, #AsiaNow.

#AsiaNow blog: The monthly digest will be emailed to the Institutional Administrator.

Journal of Asian Studies (JAS): To access the online JAS, log into your account at the online portal, navigate to the Members-Only Benefits page, and select the “Access the Journal of Asian Studies” link. This will open the Cambridge University Press website. There is no need to register or log into Cambridge’s site once you reach this page. Simply scroll down the page, and select the article(s) from the latest JAS. Older issues are available via the “All Issues” link. All issues of the JAS published since 1941 (Volume 1) are available.

How to redeem your Job Ad discount:

Up to 50% Discount on Job Ads at the AAS Career Center

To receive the discount on job postings at the AAS Career Center, enter your organization’s membership number upon creating your employer account.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that your employer account is recognized as an institutional member account. The “member” rate should be automatically stated upon checkout. If you post a job directly on the AAS Career Center at the nonmember rate, the institutional discount will not be applied nor will a refund for the variance be granted.

Priority status on Meeting Space Assignments – Annual Conference

The meeting space request form and detailed instructions for reserving space can be found here. Please contact Robyn Jones, AAS Conference Director, with any questions.

10% Discount on Exhibit Booths / 10% off Conference Advertising ^1,2

If you would like to reserve an exhibit booth or advertising, you may reserve the booth or advertisement online here. In the payment method drop-down menu, please indicate INVOICE ME. Do not pay online during the ordering stage. The AAS must create an invoice that will reflect the discount; at that point you may pay the invoice online once the price adjustments have been made.

You may also contact the AAS Conference Director by email to place a reservation. An invoice will be forwarded with the price adjustments; the invoice may be paid online.

Complimentary Annual Conference Registrations

Please forward the names of the individuals (one regular member, one student) who will receive the complimentary registrations to aasregistration@asianstudies.org

One Invitation to the President’s Reception

Please forward the name of the individual who will receive the invitation to the President’s Reception. This is generally the key contact on the account.
