As an Employer, organizations may post listings, access their own listings, and browse resumes during the posting period. Only AAS members have full access to view all job listings on the Job Board.

Posting Guidelines

Job Board Access

The posting of employment listings is open to the public (AAS members and non-members). However, in order to post a listing, you must have an individual account which is linked to your organization. Once linked, this individual account will be used for all future listings as well. Our Job Board system allows for ONE key contact PER organizational/departmental account. The login details for the key contact may be shared with your department for future job postings. 

Please do not create your own individual account, but first submit the appropriate request form for us to create or edit an account for you. “Create an Account Form” is for those who do not have an individual account/login. “Verify an Existing Account Form” is for organizations who have previously posted jobs on our portal and need to update their profile information. 

As an AAS member, individuals may browse listings and add their resumes for review by potential employers. As an Employer, organizations may post listings, access their own listings, and browse resumes during the posting period.

Viewing Resumes
Employer access to AAS member resumes will be available from the listing post date until the listing expiration date once an employer has made payment and after the listing is approved and active on the job board.

Submission Deadlines
There are no deadlines, since listings are posted on a rolling basis. However, it is highly recommended that listings be submitted at least one week prior to the requested listing date to allow time for payment, approval, and processing the listing.

Listing Duration
For optimal performance, it is recommended that you use either Chrome or Firefox for any transactions, including the membership renewal page. If you are experiencing problems loading the page, please change your browser. Internet Explorer is not compatible with our database.

AAS Disclaimer
The AAS does not knowingly accept listings from employers who discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, and gender identity or expression.

Rates and Payment

Rates
Job listings are posted for two months and charged based on word count; 0-200 words is $200, then $100 for every 100 words after that.

For example:
0-200 words = $200
201-300 words= $300
301-400 words= $400
401-500 words= $500
501-600 words= $600
601-700 words= $700

Payment Methods
AAS requires pre-payment before listings are posted. Payment options include:

  1. Online by Credit Card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
  2. Invoice by mailTo receive an invoice and mail a check, please select the ‘Print Invoice and Pay by Mail or Fax’ option and include a copy of the invoice with the mailing. Listings will be posted only after checks are received by AAS staff in the office.
  3. Invoice by faxTo receive an invoice and fax your credit card information, please select the ‘Print Invoice and Pay by Mail or Fax’ option and follow the fax instructions.
  4. Wire TransferWire transfers cannot be handled through the online system. Please contact the AAS at ads@asianstudies.org for details and instructions.

Payment Instructions

  1. Log in to your individual account at  http://myaas.asianstudies.org/AASJobBoardLogin.
  2. Select “Job Board.”
  3. Select “Enter Job Board.”
  4. Select “I wish to add a job listing as an institution or other employer and/or view my current listing and/or search member resumes.”
  5. Select the job by number under “My Job Listings.”
  6. Click the job number to view the job.
  7. Select “Submit Changes” (without making any changes).

Receipts
AAS Receipts will be received immediately online once payment has been made, along with a confirmation email which includes the listing duration dates.

To access your receipt, please follow the instructions below:

  1. After signing in, you will immediately be taken to your Individual Account page. However, to view a list of orders for your organization, click on “Manage Organization and Employees.”
  2. The next screen will display the Account page for your Organization. Scroll to the bottom under “Recent Orders”. Click the page symbol under “View” next to the order of the receipt you would like to obtain.
  3. A new window containing your pdf receipt will open, which can be saved, downloaded, and/or printed.

Posting Instructions

How do I post a job?
You can access the Job Board at  http://myaas.asianstudies.org/AASJobBoardLogin by logging into the individual account which must be linked to your organization. The “Log In” button is located in the top right corner of the AAS website.

Please read the instructions carefully before submitting a job, as there are only a few changes we can make to the ads once they have been submitted.

  1. To post a job, click “Post a Job” under the “Employers” tab.
  2. Once you have entered the Job Board, select “I wish to add a job listing as an institution or other employer and/or view my current listing and/or search member resumes” and then hit “Continue.”
  3. Select “Add A New Job”
  4. Complete the Job Post Form.
  5. Once you hit the “Submit” button for your ad, you will be given a page on various ways to make payment.  The ad will not be posted until we receive actual payment.
  6. To access your listing, select “View” in the summary under “My Job Listings.” You can view your current listings and/or search member resumes as they become available by logging in and navigating to the “Professional Development” tab on the menu bar and selecting “AAS Job Board.”

How do I access my job listing?

  1. Log in to your individual account which is linked to your organization account at the AAS website,  http://myaas.asianstudies.org/AASJobBoardLogin.
  2. Once you are logged in, navigate to the “Professional Development” tab on the menu bar and select “AAS Job Board”.
  3. Once you have entered the Job Board, select “I wish to add a job listing as an institution or other employer and/or view my current listing and/or search member resumes.”
  4. On the next screen, select “View” in your listing summary under “My Job Listings”.

How do I process payment for my job listing?

  1. Log in to your individual account at  http://myaas.asianstudies.org/AASJobBoardLogin.
