Refunds

The AAS is actively working with our vendor to process refunds for all AAS 2020 Annual Conference registration fees. Based on current estimates, all refunds will be processed by mid-to late April.

Thank you to the registered attendees who donated their registration fees. Your support is greatly appreciated. We are no longer processing requests to donate conference registration fees, however, if you would still like to donate to any of the AAS funds, please visit this page.

UPDATE as of April 27:

Refunds by Credit Card: On March 30, 2020, refunds were successfully issued to the original credit card* for all conference registration fees submitted within the last 120 days (registrations processed December 1, 2019 and later). Please log in to your AAS account to view/print your refund receipt.
*If your credit card has expired, a refund will be issued via check.

Refunds by Check: As of April 25, all refunds via check have been mailed to the address on the registrants conference registration account. check

Refunds to registrants residing outside the U.S.: To attendees who are unable to accept a check drawn on a U.S. bank, the AAS has submitted all refunds through our wire transfer service.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Registration payments made via credit card within the last 120 days* will be refunded to the original credit card used in the transaction.

2. Any registration payments made via credit card over 120 days* ago, will be refunded via check. All refunds made by check will be mailed to the address on file.

3. If you were previously charged a cancellation fee, you will be refunded the $20 in cancellation fees.

4. It is each registrant’s responsibility if they did not pay the fee directly, to provide a copy of the refund receipt (which you should have received via the email address you registered with) to the appropriate person/department to document the refund.

*These dates are based on the rules provided by our credit card merchant processor. The AAS does not have control to alter this time frame.

The AAS cannot refund individuals or companies for additional expenses related to your planned conference attendance. These expenses include but are not limited to transportation costs such as airline or train tickets and related fees, hotel reservations, or any other expenses.

AAS Secretariat staff are working remotely due to CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19. Please contact staff by email rather than phone. Staff directory
