Conference Dates / Passover Holiday Conflict

Unfortunately, the AAS 2021 Annual Conference dates fall over the first two days of Passover. The AAS wants to assure all members that we are sensitive to the fact that the conference was inadvertently scheduled over the holiday and sincerely apologize for this error in scheduling. We are currently working closely with our partners in Seattle on local arrangements to accommodate conference attendees while in Seattle and will share more information once the details are confirmed.

However, until all additional details are finalized we are able to confirm that the traditional Saturday conference schedule of sessions has been adjusted to best accommodate conference attendees who are observing Passover. We are eliminating the last session time block on Saturday, March 27 (usually runs 5:15pm – 7:00pm) so that all sessions will end earlier in the day.

Once we have confirmed all activities and/or accommodations, we will share and notify all members at that time.

Again, our sincere apologies and we are committed to ensuring this conflict in scheduling does not occur again in the future.

AAS Secretariat staff are working remotely due to CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19. Please contact staff by email rather than phone. Staff directory
