The Sheraton Grand Hotel is located across the street from the Seattle Convention Center. Panel sessions will take place at both the Sheraton and the Convention Center. All official AAS evening events will take place at the Sheraton.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy
A valid credit card will be required to hold your reservation. The hotel may charge your credit card a deposit equal to one night’s room charge plus. Cancellations may be placed up to 72 hours prior to arrival without penalty. Cancellations received within 72 hours of the day of the scheduled arrival will be charged 1 night’s room and tax.
Early Departure Fee
Guests wishing to avoid an early departure fee should advise the hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay.

Beware of Hotel Scammers
Do not be misled by outside housing or travel agencies claiming to be the official housing provider for the upcoming AAS annual conference or offering ‘official rooms’ outside of the hotel block. The AAS DOES NOT work with any outside companies. Unfortunately, unscrupulous providers sometimes claim to provide housing for meetings and conferences when they are in no way affiliated with the conference organizers. This practice is a scam that attendees should be aware of in order to avoid passing on personal or financial information. Reservations made by unaffiliated organizations may be illegitimate, not have the rooms to sell, have unreasonable cancelation or change penalties, or be completely non-refundable. Please notify us at aasconference@asian-studies.org if you are contacted by any company claiming to provide housing for the AAS.
