Graduate Student Reception-$5,000

Support the next generation in the field of Asian studies. The Graduate Student Reception invites all student attendees, mostly PhDs, to network during the reception. This is a great opportunity for a sponsor who wants to reach an audience interested in job searching, publishing, and networking. This event is scheduled for Friday evening.

Distributed to all attendees, lanyards offer a way to display your logo while holding the attendee’s badge throughout the Convention. AAS will procure the lanyard with your provided logo.

Payment Terms and Cancellation Policy
Sponsor Criteria: The Association for Asian Studies (AAS) is a scholarly, non-political, non-profit professional association open to all persons and organizations interested in Asia and the study of Asia. Exhibiting companies must meet the criteria of providing goods and services as requested by our members and attendees-in part; the AAS Exhibit Hall and Advertisement opportunities are open to Publishers, Publications, Academic and Study Abroad Programs, Foundations, Digital Databases or programming related to archives, teaching, pedagogy or education about Asia. The AAS reserves the right to deny a reservation should the exhibiting/advertising party not meet our core mission and values.
Sponsorship Reservations Payments: All sponsorship reservations must be paid in full. Payment may be submitted online via a credit card or via check, money order, or wire transfer (there is a $35 wire transfer fee). If an invoice is requested, payment is due within 30 days of receipt of the invoice.
Cancellation: All requests for a sponsor cancellation must be made in writing. Sponsorship opportunities that have incurred costs such as pre-orders of branded materials or other tangible items are not cancellable. Sponsorships packages that include exhibit booths, i.e. Platinum of Gold packages or print advertisement will incur a 15% cancellation penalty. If sponsorship package includes print advertising and the program book has been published and printed, the price of the print advertisement will also be deducted from the refund. All cancellation requests should be submitted no later than January 14, 2023.
Sponsorship format changes (COVID-19 considerations): The AAS will accept sponsorship package transfers from an in-person/virtual package to a virtual only sponsoring booth. The in-person booth order will be converted to an E-Flyer advertisement order. The AAS will refund the difference in formats (if any) less a $75 transfer fee. Requests to transfer from in-person to virtual must be received by February 14, 2023.
