AAS Annual Conference 2021

The AAS Annual Conference Annual Conference will include both in-person and virtual programming in 2021. All registered attendees will have the opportunity to choose to participate and attend either in-person and/or online. Online/virtual attendance includes access to virtual sessions, virtual exhibit hall, film screenings and special events including the keynote address, presidential address and awards ceremony.

The Association for Asian Studies Annual Conference, held each spring in North America, is the largest gathering in the world of Asian studies scholars . The AAS annual conference brings together over 3300 attendees, and includes approximately 400 sessions, keynote addresses, multiple networking receptions and an exhibit hall that features the leading publishers, academic programs and digital resources.

What Should We Expect in 2021?

We are planning to offer a full conference experience for anyone interested in attending -whether in-person or online/virtually.

Individuals attending virtually will have access to session presentations, participation in Q&A’s and discussions, keynotes address and awards ceremony, virtual exhibit hall, film screenings, networking and more.
