The Association for Asian Studies 2024 Annual Conference will take place on Thursday, March 14 – Sunday, March 17, 2024 in Seattle, Washington.

Planning Early?

Already planning for 2024? Full details will be made available when the Call for Proposals officially opens in June. For your convenience, below is the general information you may need as you begin early preparations.

• We accept organized paper sessions, roundtables, workshops, and individual paper submissions.
• Individuals may participate in up to two (2) sessions but may present only one (1) paper.
• If not presenting a paper, alternatively, participants may serve as a chair and discussant on up to 2 different sessions, serve as chair on 2 different sessions or serve as discussant on 2 different sessions.
• Organized Panels must include a minimum of three (3) papers and a maximum of 4 paper presentations and must include a Chair. A discussant is optional but highly recommended.
• An individual may serve in two roles on the same one session.
• Roundtables may include up to a maximum of five (5) discussants and one chair.
• An individual may not submit an individual paper and a paper on a session.
